If there is one bike that has stood out as an icon of speed and muscle, it is the famous line of Kawasaki's called the Z-Series.

Kawasaki Z's can be summed up as the original 4 stoke multi-cylinder motorcycle line Kawasaki started making and selling to the world public in 1973. It was not the first 4-stroke Kawasaki made, but it was the first original design that did not play on traits from other manufacturers from the same time. It was unique in nearly all areas. Honda had introduced the CB750 in 1969 which had started the Japanese in the bid for 4 cylinder motorcycle technology, but Kawasaki took it to the next step and then some! There are many versions and sizes of the Z-Series. One of the most commonly associated with this series is the original Z-1. These were the Z's that started it all. In 1972 the US market would see its first Z-1's delivered as the new 1973 Kawasaki Z-1. This became the start to the heart pumping rage that was to be known forever as the Z-Series of motorcycles made by Kawasaki. Imagine the awe of walking into your local Kawasaki dealership and setting your eyes on one of these beauties. There was nothing like it available that had it's sound, price, and power all packed into one package. For less than 2000.00 dollars a person could own the badest street bike to ever hit the streets before it. Later many other Z's would follow, but this was the one that started what I refer to as the Z-Series of Kawasaki motorcycles.

This section of my site will be devoted to all the Z-Series bikes from the smallest KZ200's to the giant 6 cylinder KZ1300's. I hope to add my years of knowledge and experience to the pages heron. I have owned many of these beautiful bikes and learned many tricks. I also troubleshoot them on a daily basis and know most of them inside and out, especially the 900 and 1000's. I hope that these pages will give you some insight and/or help with your prized Z. Check back often. I will be trying to add a new subject every week and new pictures even more often.

Each Model and size will have it's own section for information. If there is no click-able link, then there is no info in that section yet. Have fun, and please feel free to e-mail any good original pictures you may want me to add. Please do not send pictures or information that you do not own or have permission to pass on. I want to keep this area original as possible. I will also consider entering a bit of information that those of you may have if it is specific to the Z-Series. This information should be on one of the following subjects or models below. I would be extremely happy to add some OEM pictures as long as you scanned them from a OEM manual yourself. One good OE picture to represent each model below. Please do not send a picture from someone else's website or magazine without they're permission. I will ask for the origin of the picture to be specified so I can add the info below the picture (Example; 1974 Z1 Sales brochure).
