My '83 CB1100F Street Fighter
Street Fighter (street' fight"er) Any older motorcycle that has altered suspension and looks to work as a late model sport bike.
Sportbike with no fairings to resemble a early model standard bike.
This is a very modified CB1100F made to look very european in streetfighter terms. Even has a Euro ONLY CB750F paint set in factory red. This color was never available in the USA. The CB1100F was only available in 1983.
The front suspension was used from a CBR600F2 and a VFR1000 '85-'86 front fender was added that looks much better than the fender used on the CBR600F2's.
The mounts were custom made and the fender is painted flat black to give a nice stelthy look. The wheels were powder coated gloss black to give nice contrast.
The stock CB1100F rear arm was used and a CBR600F3 rear wheel was added. The F3 rear wheel is a 5.00 x 17 rather than a 4.50 x 17 used on the F2. The rear caliper was also used from the F3. A tongue was added to brace the rear caliper.
Also the arm was altered to accept a eye to eye style shock instead of the original clevis shocks which allowed for a wider variety of options for the shocks. Ohlins shocks were used as you can see.
